Latitude 55 Outdoors was founded by Sarah Murray-Boyd, a Canberra-based outdoor activity facilitator, nature connection guide and event manager.
Sarah works with individuals and small groups to help build deep embodied connections to self and nature through mindfulness, nature meditation and somatic techniques.
Motivated by her own adventures outdoors and how they helped her recover from debilitating burnout, Sarah is passionate about the power of time in nature to heal, connect, teach, and guide us.
Sarah's activities help improve overall wellness, create calm and build confidence. This includes nature connection walks, workshops, and forest therapy sessions.

Sarah has always been happiest outside.
As a child she followed her geologist Dad on field trips all over South Australia, and then studied environmental science.
She has managed some of Canberra's biggest public events, created Honk! Pop-up Play and was once a Nature Play SA ambassador.
Sarah hikes, bikes, paddles, runs and flys and is always looking for her next challenge.

Since making the outdoors her job in 2025, Sarah has worked with:
- Birrigai Outdoor School
- WildBark @ Mulligans Flat
- Scouts ACT
- Women Explorers ACT
- Greenhills Outdoor Centre
- Cycle Sisters MTB
In 2026 Sarah will be Assistant Trip leader for her first expedition with Operation Flinders.

Sarah has thrown herself into the qualifications needed to work in this field, including:
- a Certificate III of Outdoor Leadership at Kiama Outdoor Academy
- Foundations of Outdoor and Adventure Therapy Practice with Adventure Works Australia
- participating in the Outdoors NSW/ACT Pinnacle Leadership Program.
She is completing her international accreditation as a Forest Therapy Guide.
